50/50 DRAW

The NS Firefighters 50/50 was founded in March 2020 as a result of the Amherst Firefighters Association tasking the Ways & Means Committee to generate new fundraising ideas. As the Covid-19 pandemic was restricting the country, the emergence of a new online raffle platform seemed like a reasonable opportunity to pursue. The AFFA agreed to host and administer the 50/50 raffle, and we would invite other fire departments across the province to join in. The rest, they say, is history! The raffle has grown from the original 8 agencies to over 270 now, and the lottery will soon be starting it’s 4th year of operation. We are proud to award a lucky Nova Scotian with a life-changing prize every week, but more importantly we are proud of the huge impact this is having for the various agencies and fire departments all across Nova Scotia.
